Favorite Books Preschool Theme
A picture book. I am not sure if there is anything more magical in a preschool classroom than a picture book.
I like to do a books theme early in the year to really highlight how important books are to my preschoolers. I want them to know that we will be reading books every day. I want them to see that books have power and that they will smile, giggle, learn and maybe even occasionally cry, as books share all about the big world around us.
Even if you decide not to do a specific books theme, my classic children's books preschool lesson plans are FULL of some of my favorite books for toddlers and preschoolers along with fun activities to go along with each. So, please enjoy all that books have to offer with your young children! I hope you get lost in the magic, as well!
Feelings and Emotions Preschool Theme
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. This iconic song is typically well known in the toddler and preschool years. You can use it to teach a variety of emotions in a light and fun way.
Feelings and emotions are an extremely important part of early childhood education because it goes hand in hand with children's social and emotional development. And, those little brains are developing at record-breaking speeds! As their brains rapidly develop, toddlers and preschoolers need help navigating big emotions and feelings.
