Stay at Home Educator is about intentional teaching and purposeful learning in the early childhood years.

I believe in using educational research to be an intentional parent-teacher by creating purposeful learning opportunities for children. The menu is organized by content area, so you can easily browse for specific topics within the preschool niche.

This blog was created with you in mind, whether you are a stay-at-home parent looking for some fun activities, a homeschooling parent looking for curriculum, or an early childhood teacher looking for educational activities to supplement what you are already doing in the classroom.

Whatever the reason, I’m glad you’re here!

About Sarah, the owner and creator of Stay At Home Educator

I am Sarah, an educator turned stay-at-home mother of five! I have a degree in art and a masters in curriculum and instruction, which have given me the opportunity to teach a range of levels, including preschool and college, and a little bit of just about everything in between. Right now, my focus is teaching my children and running a preschool from my home.

Sarah Punkoney, MAT

People are always commenting on how I must have my hands full, but when it comes to my kids and my preschoolers I wouldn’t have it any other way! I encourage my children and preschoolers to explore, take risks, and create. I encourage hands-on learning and fun.  I encourage questioning and constructing, categorizing, interpreting, modifying and so much more. I go into everything with a plan because I believe in intentional, well-thought out teaching and providing purposeful and authentic learning experiences.

These are the things you will find at Stay at Home Educator.

I’m glad you are here, and I hope what you find will make your job easier.
