Brrr! Baby, it is cold outside!
We have been hit with an unusual amount of snow this year, which my preschoolers are adoring, but unfortunately that has meant several days of school closures, both my preschool and the district schools. My kids and I are starting to feel a little snowed in since temperatures have dropped to single digits on some days, meaning it’s unsafe to even play outside. So, I’m sharing 35+ crazy awesome snow day activities you can do right from home.
Where I live, it hasn’t snowed like this since I was a kid in the 80’s. I’m in awe of the amount of snow we’ve received this winter, and the fact that it hasn’t melted off between storms is also unusual. The school districts have called several snow days already this winter, and I’ve had to limit the time my preschoolers and kids have spent out galavanting in the snow because of temperatures well below freezing, sometimes even in single digits.
This is where a rock solid collection of winter themed activities come in really handy. Really, really handy.
Because while I love having my kids home from school to enjoy the snow we seldom get, we get just a little stir crazy when we have to spend the time inside…you know…when it;s just too darn cold to play outside!
Enter, over 35 crazy awesome and fun snow day activities to keep the kiddies happy.
