This pack of 12 fine motor task boxes were designed with preschoolers, kindergarten and first graders in mind. Featuring a variety of fine motor tasks, these activities also reinforce literacy and math skills, too. From scissor cutting, to playdough, stickers, hole punches and so much more, this fine motor activity pack is loaded with creative, new, and fun activities that get preschoolers loving pincer grasp work.

Each activity features a hands-on and fun way to practice fine motor skill, and fits just perfectly inside a pencil box, making them super easy to grab and teach, while also making clean-up a breeze. Prep them now and always have an array of fine motor activities available for all the different skills sets in your classroom. They are perfect for morning table activities, fine motor preschool centers, and even can be used as small group activities.

As always, each activity is meant to be printed and used over and over again, even as math centers, ultimately saving you time and money! But many of these fine motor activities also come with black-line versions allowing your preschoolers to work on pencil grasp, too.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Alphabet Cut and Paste Cards – Snip out lines of letters and then paste them to a letter card.
  • Bead Patterning Cards – Follow the bead pattern on the card to make a copy, or make your own pattern and color in a card to show your work.
  • Build-a-Chain Cards – Practice color recognition and counting by  building chains of 10 and 20. Or, use the blackline copy to make your own task card.
  • Color Tile Matching Cards with Counting Bears – Match layers of tiles and counting bears in these algebraic task cards.
  • Colored Pencil and Eraser Task Cards – Work that pincer grasp in a new way by matching pencil top erasers with colored pencils.
  • Dice Color and Pip Matching Cards – Practice subtilizing while working the pincer grasp by matching dice color and quantity.
  • Hole Punch Task Cards – Develop hand strength and coordination by hole punching the circles on the card. These cards can be colored, too!
  • Number Playdough Cards – Practice number formation  y using playdough, or use dot stickers to count the number, all while working on fine motor skills.
  • Paper Clip Color Matching Cards – This set of task cards includes both paper clips and binder clips.
  • Snap Cube Task Cards – Follow the task card to create a friendly design using snap cubes. This works finger strength, coordination, and the pincer grasp all at once.
  • Transparent Counters Task Cards – Match the transparent counters with those on the card, up to 20 counters at once. If the cards are laminated, this requires even more coordination!
  • Tracing Task Cards – Trace a variety of lines to develop pencil control. Preschoolers also get a little practice in rhyming while they are at it, too.
These fine motor activities are new, creative, and engaging. Since this pack offers such a variety of activities, there’s always something for every skill level in your classroom. They are perfect for morning table activities, fine motor preschool centers, and even can be used as small group activities. But my favorite way to use them is as morning entry work when my preschoolers arrive.

As a teacher, I love how these cards help develop all aspects of fine motor skills. As a mom, I love that these cards are engaging and interesting.
