FREE Preschool Printables for St. Patrick’s Day

I love celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in my preschool.
I think it comes from the holiday colors of green, gold, and yellow. Aren’t they the first colors of spring? And with St. Patrick’s Day in the middle of March, the Earth is usually just starting to turn into spring at about the same time where we live.
First, the grassy weeds begin to emerge. Then the crocuses, daffodils, and tulips begin to poke through, and my rhubarb begins to grow new crowns. The light changes a bit, too, and the sun finally has the warmth we’ve been missing all winter. I love the chilly nights that come after day of the spring sun warming my back as I prepare my raised garden beds. These are always such welcoming signs after a dreary and wet winter.
So of course I’m naturally drawn to the green and yellow of St. Patrick’s Day; and isn’t is also the best reason to learn about rainbows and colors in the classroom?
There are so many ideas and ways to teach and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, even if your preschool doesn’t allow for you to celebrate holidays. You’ll be sure to find some fantastic printable activities in this post featuring rainbows and colors, too.
